Sterling Brown was born April 5  in St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended the prestigious St. Louis Country Day School. An avid thespian during his high school years, Brown attributes Milton Zoth, with first sparking his love for acting. He then attended Stanford University where he earned his B.A. in Drama, and finally the Graduate Acting program at NYU where he received his MFA. His original intention was to be an economics major at Stanford, and only changed his major at the beginning of his junior year. He had been gently encouraged in this direction by his mentor Harry J. Elam, Jr. Professor Elam directed Brown in his first play at Stanford, August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone, and later in his first professional play, Blues for an Alabama Sky. Upon completion of graduate school, Brown worked steadily in the world of regional theater, and occasionally in film and television. Still in the infancy of his career, he still relishes opportunities to perform on stage, and looks forward to furthering his career in front of the camera. His is a voice that you shall be hearing for a long time to come.

Sterling Brown  est né un 5 Avril à St. Louis, Missouri où il a été à la prestigieuse St. Louis Country Day School . Un comédien ambitieux pendant ses années de lycée, Sterling attribue à  Milton Zoth,  son premier amour pour la comédie. Il a alors intégré l'Université de Stanford où il a reçu son B.A. dans le Drame et finalement le programme d'Acte de Diplômé à NYU où il a reçu son MFA. Son intention originale était d'être un Bussiness Man à Stanford et il a seulement changé son cursus au début de sa première année. Il avait été doucement encouragé dans cette direction par son mentor Harry J. Elam, le Professeur cadet Elam a dirigé Sterling  dans son premier rôle à Stanford, August Joe Turner de Wilson Come and Gone et plus tard dans son premier rôle professionnel, Blues for an Alabama Sky. Après l'obention de son diplôme, Sterling K Brown à  travaillé avec acharnement  dans le monde de théâtre régional et de temps en temps dans des films et à la télévision. Toujours au début de sa carrière, il savoure toujours des occasions de se produire sur scène et attend avec impatience de favoriser sa carrière devant la caméra. Il a une voix que vous n'êtes pas prêt d'oublier pour longtemps.
