Major at the beginning of the series, Frank Sherwood becomes Lieutenant-colonel in the season three.
He met Denise before his first deployment. It is her who looked after him further to the accident when he jumped of one bombard because of a bet.
He the proposal of marriage before its deployment, what she accepts, becoming a wife and then a mother full-time after the birth of their son, Jeremy, age one later.
Frank is a serviceman devoted to his country. But under his cold and hard appaerance, he is sensitive and will always make everything to protect his family.
He is often in deployment, and during one of them, he is hurt in a crash. It will happen several days before we do not know if he is alive, or not. once on returning to Fort Marshall, he will learn that his son was violent with Denise, and he will so put him in the door.
He will try to become reconciled with him, before Jeremy leaves to the front.
Of return in Iraq, he will learn the changes arisen at his wife and he will so have a permission to sort out things. But the couple will not reach there and will part.
He will learn some time later, once in Iraq third time, that Denise had a connection during her absence. He will return definitively in the USA and will ask for the divorce. But while the procedure is thrown, Denise and he, will backtrack and will leave on good bases.
Today, Frank has to face the problems of his son, whom he wants to see only of an eye, in spite of the anxiety of his wife.
Frank is a father for the second time of the girl Molly, been born 22 Aout on 2010. He is deployed in Afghanistan during her birth in which he assitera by videoconference.

Major au début de la série, Frank Sherwood devient Lieutenant-colonel dans la saison trois.
Il a rencontré Denise avant son premier déploiement. C'est elle qui l'a soigné suite à l'accident lorsqu'il a sauté d'un pilonne à cause d'un pari.
Il la demande en mariage avant son déploiement, ce qu'elle accepte, devenant épouse et ensuite mère à plein temps après la naissance de leur fils, Jeremy, un an plus tard.
Frank est un militaire dévoué à son pays. Mais sous son apparance froide et dure, il est sensible et fera toujours tout pour protéger sa famille.
Il est souvent en déploiement, et pendant l'un d'eux, il se trouve blessé dans un accident d'hélicopter. Il se passera plusieurs jours avant qu'on ne sache s'il est en vie, ou non. Une fois de retour à Fort Marsall, il apprendra que son fils était violent avec Denise, et il le mettra ainsi à la porte.
Il tentera de se réconcilier avec lui, avant que Jeremy ne parte au front lui aussi.
De retour en Irak, il apprendra les changements survenus chez son épouse et il aura ainsi une permission afin d'arranger les choses. Mais le couple n'y parviendra pas et se séparera.
Il apprendra quelques temps plus tard, une fois en Irak une troisième fois, que Denise a eu une liaison pendant son absence. Il rentrera définitivement aux USA et demandera le divorce. Mais alors que la procédure est lancée, Denise et lui, feront marche arrière et repartiront sur de bonnes bases.
Aujourd'hui, Frank doit faire face aux problèmes de son fils, qu'il ne veut voir que d'un oeil, malgré l'inquiétude de son épouse. Frank est père pour la seconde fois de la petite Molly, née le 22 Aout 2010. Il est déployé en Afghanistan lors de sa naissance à laquelle il assitera par vidéo-conférence.
